Online Classes and Game Nights from Southside Chess:

FOR ONE TUITION FEE, YOUR CHILD CAN ENJOY UP TO 3 DAYS A WEEK OF CHESS!

In the SPRING TERM we will offer we offer AFTER- SCHOOL CHESS CLUBS at ROOSEVELT, CHINESE IMMERSION, EDGEWOOD, AND CHARLEMAGNE!  We also offer online chess opportunities appropriate for scholastic aged players of various skill levels, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.  Each club or class will last one hour.  We also suggest that players participate in our 'Game Nights'  Players can play other Southside Chess Kids and then have their games analyzed.
I will also teach the kids how to analyze their own games.
FOR ONE TUITION FEE, YOUR CHILD CAN ENJOY UP TO 3 DAYS A WEEK OF CHESS!  In the clubs, players will be presented a lesson each time at beginner, intermediate or advanced level, depending upon the skill levels of the participants.  For online students the material presented will be consistent in a given week for each class description, so if a student misses a class in a given week, it can be made up by attending another day and time with the same class description.  Club participants can also do an online make-up, should they have to miss a club session.  Cost per term of One Weekly Class or after-school club plus  2 Game Nights will be $200 per child (payment option 4).  For siblings  taking classes during the same term, you may choose 'option 2' and pay $175 each for the classes.  Children taking private lessons plus taking a class will pay $60 each for privates and $175 (option3) for classes.  Two Siblings or close friends may share a private lesson.

GAME NIGHTS:  FOR ONE TUITION FEE, YOUR CHILD CAN ENJOY UP TO 3 DAYS A WEEK OF CHESS!  Besides  classes, Players will have two opportunities each week to play games against their fellow Southside Chess students  We will maintain a "Chess Ladder" reflecting the results of these games which will be updated each week.  All students are encouraged to play one or both Game Nights.  They are like extra classes in that we analyze many of the games just after they are played to point out how players can learn to improve play.  Kids will also learn how to analyze their own games and those of others.

We were forced to invent our online program in the spring and summer of 2020, due to the pandemic.  The Southside Chess online program has been very successful in conveying chess knowledge and skill to participants since then.  However, we will be very happy to open school clubs again.
